ABOUT THE CEO AND FOUNDER

Elozi Lomponda is an Education activist, Youth and Women advocate and professional in Foreign Policy. Since 2013, she holds a position at the Private Office of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Defense of the Kingdom of Belgium, H.E.Mr. Didier Reynders.

In 2015, after the drowning of nine school children when their canoe overturned on the Congo River while going to school, Elozi founded the charity Books on Canoes. This charity aims to help young people and women living in rural localities near the Congo River to access quality education and training in order for them to build a better future.

Helping the African Youth reach its full potential locally is Elozi’s mission and passion. She is convinced that it is only by improving the living conditions of rural populations that (the so called) migration crises will be solved. Moreover, Elozi is frequently invited as a guest speaker by international bodies and prestigious universities such as the University of Yale and the University of Warwick where she has the opportunity to advocate for the causes close to her heart in the fields of children’s and women rights and in the fight against rural exodus.
